ABOUT US
Jesus tells us that there are three relationships that have to be in balance for life to work. God is the one who always comes first. He gives meaning and direction to the other two relational circles - loving self and loving others. The key to the truly abundant life is relying on Jesus to balance all three of our relational circles. When we learn from Him how to grow and live life in balance, we can enjoy the rich and satisfying life we long for. And we understand how every single aspect of life - our relationships, our work, our wealth, our family and our mission in life is for the purpose of showing how amazing and wonderful He is. At Crossroads Church, we are committed to helping every person experience the full and satisfying life God has created us to live.

OUR MISSION
We exist to help people experience the abundant life found in Jesus Christ. Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly."
– John 10:10
OUR MISSION IS BASED ON TWO KEY SCRIPTURES:
Matthew 22:37-40:
“Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart soul and mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” We refer to this verse as the Great Commandment.
Matthew 28:19-20a:
“Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” We refer to this verse as the Great Commission.
OUR FIVE DREAMS

OUR BELIEFS
We live in shifting times but are rooted in eternal truths, the teachings of Holy Scripture. Here at Crossroads we are guided by certain foundational beliefs and shaping values.

-
We believe in one God who eternally exists in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. God the Father is the Creator and Ruler of the Universe. We believe that He is limitless in power, knowledge, wisdom, love, and holiness. We also believe that He has revealed himself as the Father of the redeemed.
Genesis 1:1, Genesis 26, Genesis 27; Genesis 3:22, Psalms 90:2, Matthew 28:19, 1 Peter 1:2, 2 Corinthians 13:14
-
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is the second person of the Trinity and is co-equal with the Father. Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heavens glory where he sits at the right hand of the Father. He will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.
Matthew 1:22, Matthew 23, Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1-5, John 14:10-30, Hebrews 4:14, Hebrews 15, 1 Corinthians 15:3, 1 Corinthians 4, Romans 1:3, Romans 4, Acts 1:9-11, 1 Timothy 6:14, 1 Timothy 15, Titus 2:13
-
He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer a spiritual gift when they are saved. As Christians we seek to live under His control daily.
2 Corinthians 3:17, John 16:7-13, John 14:16, John 17, Act 1:8, 1 Corinthians 2:12, 1 Corinthians 3:16, Ephesians 1:13, Galatians 5:25, Ephesians 5:18
-
The Bible is God’s Word to all people. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error.
2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20, 2 Peter 21, 2 Timothy 1:13, Psalms 119:105, Psalms 160, Psalms 12:6, Proverbs 30:5
-
We believe that man was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him, but became alienated from that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man is totally incapable of coming back into a right relationship with God by his own effort.
Genesis 1:27, Psalms 8:3-6, Isaiah 53:6a, Romans 3:23, Isaiah 59:1, Isaiah 2
-
We believe that salvation is a gift of God to man. Man can never make up for sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.
Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8, Ephesians 9, John 3:16, John 14:6, John 1:12, Titus 3:5, Galatians 3:26, Romans 5:1
-
We believe that God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, therefore the true believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. If you have been genuinely saved, you cannot “lose” it. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives us this security.
John 10:29, 2 Timothy 1:12, Hebrews 7:25, Hebrews 10:10, Hebrews 14
-
We believe that people were created to live forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is to live in Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.
John 3:16, John 2:25, Romans 6:23, Revelation 20:15
OUR VALUES
▾
-
Our response to experiencing God’s love is to passionately pursue Him with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength, holding nothing back!
-
We choose to love others with the same generous love God gives us! This love allows the world to know we are His followers.
-
We choose to serve God with excellence because we are representations of Him and should reflect His glory.
-
We choose to live our lives by the power of the Holy Spirit, not self-effort or religious activity.
-
We are committed to walking in God’s truth, no matter what. We choose to be honest and transparent in our words, actions, and motives. As Christ followers, we own our mistakes and right our wrongs.
-
Giving is an expression of a heart for God. We choose to give to God with a joyful heart and generously, knowing that Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
OUR STORY
Crossroads Church Douglasville was started by Crossroads Church in Newnan, Georgia. The initial start team consisted of 40 adults who met together throughout the summer of 2001 to pray and prepare for the initial launch. Crossroads Church held its first worship service on September 9, 2001 in Chapel Hill Elementary School.
We saw many people come to faith in Jesus and numerous lives changed. Also, in the first four years of Crossroads we were able to start one local Hispanic church and two churches in Honduras. From the beginning, Crossroads has focused on reaching people that do not know Jesus personally and on building relationships through small groups.
Our worship service has always used a simple approach—communicating the life changing message of the gospel in a way that ordinary people can understand. This approach led God to produce amazing work through the people of Crossroads. We have seen families restored, broken people finding hope, and trapped people finding freedom.
God did it all and our heart has and always will be to help people find life in Jesus by sharing His message of hope. We desire to love people so passionately that they will desire the Savior who has poured His love into us.
